The Savvy Hijabi: Online Deals
March 19th, 2009If there is a company, online shop or store or product-you like, go to their website-I assure you if they have an online presence enough to realize they need, need, need online shoppers, they will also have a place for you to sign up.
This can be as simple as giving them your email, to “creating an account,” (never give them credit information to store, however). Often, you will have to check your email, sometimes in your junk mail box as well, to hit confirm for their subscription.
And what do YOU, the Savvy Shopper get?
They will email you ahead of time with sales, secret sales, promotion codes, and other little bits of swag that will encourage you to shop their items. If I am planning on shopping (e.g. I need three long sleeved tee shirts) and I can wait, then wait I will, so that the inevitable deal comes my way.
Department stores also work this way, and you do not have to have their store credit card either. I was watching a pair of boots for two years to go down in price! And, they finally went below half; I was emailed a promotion code to take another 25% off, and instead of paying $275.00 (no never, for me!) for a pair of suede ankle boots at Lord & Taylor online, I paid $76.00! Is that not savvy? I’ll have these a long time, and they fit like a dream.
Next week I’ll let you in on some great sites that offer “deal of the day”.
