Abayas these days are getting more and more expensive, so we were thrilled to come across this site.
These look more like dresses and could probably be very easily incorporated that way. You can add accessories to brighten them up and since they’re 100% cotton they’ll make a great option to wear for summer outings.
Check out our picks from East Essence:
Abal Abaya $24.99

Afia Abaya $27.99

Batool Abaya $19.99

Do you like these styles?

I’ve seen this website before but haven’t ordered yet… but I really want to!! Such pretty designs, and available in colors, and not extremely expensive.
The only thing I’m worried about are the fabrics used. A lot of them say viscose, cotton, etc (or even don’t say which type), and I’m just not sure what kind of fabric is good for an abaya! (being new to the abaya-buying scene. i’ve already have a few duds) Any tips??
i just noticed that you accidentally linked to an Indian food website!! :p The store is actually called East Essence (not eastern).

LOL… thanks for letting me know. Hey indian food is good too
Awesome! this is a great find I don’t even know how they are able to sell them that cheap :S and such nice designs too I will definitely pass this on Insha’Allah
I have orderd from here they came very quickly and i was a little nervous about the quality because its hard to find abayas at such a good price but i am totally satisfied with what i got!!! i see they have new styles, they have had the same ones for a while but still those are great prices!!!
Sarah thanks for letting us know about your ordering experience! That makes me want to give them a try!
Personally I find them “eh-OK”…yeah the prices are cheap but the fabric is “eh” and half of the sisters who order find their package takes a really really long time to get to them…and it comes via DHL. I ordered from them once and yes everything was OK…for the price, but the 2 kurtas started to fall apart after several wears and the linen abayah just did not fit that great. I ended up getting rid of them all before moving to KSA. For the price…yeah they are “OK”…but they are cheap for a reason.
Also they tend to engage in very blatant, obnoxious spam if you in any was question their manufacturing processes (how can they be so cheap and make a profit? What about the people who make their items?) and their pricing process…after all they say they have a “sale” all the time and that the item is “normally $118″ or whatever and is now on sale for $38…okay, thats not right because thats their normal price. They also do not ship from the US but from India and they don’t mention this either.
Personally I find them mildly sketchy, again, they are OK…esp if u need covering clothing for a cheap price and dont mind getting cheap stuff, but often better quality items are worth the price.
anyway I just wanted to share this info…
…also just to add. here in KSA you CAN get abayaahs for under $30 US but I can tell u all of them are of really inferior quality. The crepe used is very cheap and does not flow or fit properly, nor is it very light in the extremely hot and humid weather we have here in the kingdom, also most of the designs tend to be cheap and the fit is normally less than ideal. They are OK if your an expat and need one to cover up when at the mall, otherwise, most women stay away from them.
Regarding abayaah fabrics…the better the crepe the better the fit, comfort and flow. Here in KSA U can go to the abayaah suq area and get them for between $40-65 and these are good quality ones, the top notch ones are very expensive though and the designs are nice, plus they tailor them to your size after you buy.
seriously, if ur in mad desperation for something long they are OK, but not ideal. Cheap is cheap for a reason!
