I’m spending Ramadan at home with my cats in Krakow, Poland, and I’m looking forward to getting my life back on track a bit in such mundane matters as eating and sleep habits or time usage; getting caught up on my Scripture reading; getting and wearing the new al-Amiras I just ordered; doing up my new passport with headcovering in place.
And then there’s the matter that I started covering a few days after a certain special person went away on vacation. So God willing I’m going to invite him for Iftar after he gets back and explain the covering, and the prayers, and the fasting… Thankfully, he’s the sort who will be happy that I told him all this voluntarily, even knowing he is unlikely to be happy about it. I’m hoping honesty will be enough for him…
