Tasty Tweet

One of my younger brothers is the ultimate foodie.

He was visiting with his wife from NYC and we were re awakened to the lovely local restaurants in our backyard.

One place we visited is called Tweet and is all mostly organic/locally sourced with a variety of gluten free options for those who are sensitive to it.

The food was so delicious and it was a quaint little place that I didn’t expect to have such a great menu.

Another great surprise was when the wait staff brought a basket of toys and a bowl of banana slices for the kids while we waited for our food, talk about kid friendly!

Pumpkin pancakes, so moist and melt in your mouth delicious!

Chillaquilles (not sure of spelling). A layer of corn tortillas, beans, eggs, and a red sauce with half an avocado on top.

Every order comes with a cup of fresh fruit. It was so sweet and flavorful I wasn’t sure it was real!

My 5 year old making a silly face for the camera.

My 2.5 year old enjoying the fruit. She’s a foodie in the making.

Iced coffee tasted so fresh. They even gave me a carafe of it on the side. Too much for me, but great to share with others.

If you’re ever in Chicago, I highly recommend checking this place out. I was left feeling full and had tons of leftovers, so I may just split some items next time. 🙂
