Rain jackets/trench coats are great to have on hand because you never know when you might have to run out the door with a t-shirt and jeans but with the coat thrown on top you can look a little more polished.
The colors are great, and if the deal is right you can save it for when the cooler weather comes around.
We have a feeling though that these are light-weight enough that you can wear them on those breezy summer evenings.
This trench is nice because it’s a different take on the average cut.

Spring has finally made it to Chicago (or, at least for now, since it’s supposed to snow this weekend), and that means one thing to me: trench coats.
Spring only lasts for a few weeks here, but I still have at least three trench coats to make to through that time. I love them, and I think they make any outfit look sleek.
Plus, there are so many colors out, it’s hard to choose just one to pick for Spring.
The one that I’m currently coveting is the lovely purple one in the picture from The Limited. Even on sale, it’s out of my budget. But that hasn’t stopped me from looking at it in the store every once in a while.
The Limited has the same version of the coat in a bunch of cute colors, including yellow, green and plaid.
Old Navy is always a great place for cute coats as well. Although, they don’t have the hot pink one I bought there a few years ago. That’s one of my favorites.
