Hijabtrendz is officially two years old today and we wanted to share with you some of the new features you’ll be seeing on the website.

Every year around our birthday and the New Year we do some re-design to accommodate for the growth of the site.

You may have already started to notice, we’re now placing headings for our popular features, these are regular posts that occur during the week and focus on specific topics (you can see each one below).

Dear Hijabtrendz readers,

I know I’ve been promising season 4 of Hijabtrendz Television and I’m happy to say that it is completed and ready to be posted.

However, after some deep thought, I realized that I don’t want to post all the episodes at once as I usually do.  The reason is that I’m getting ready to have the baby in October, and I was hoping to have enough material to sustain this site while I’m recovering and taking care of the new family member.

So from now on you can expect on the 1st of each month to see a new episode of the show. This will allow me to take more time in editing and making sure I’m not just rushing to post an episode. (I feel sometimes I lose so much in terms of quality when I do that).

As they say it’s not about quantity but about quality, right?

I thank you all so much for being patient with me, I’ve read your requests for more videos, and they will definitely be coming your way.

In the meantime though, I do have a special treat.

We’re going to give you a special presentation of the “Hijab Style File” segment this coming Monday August 24th 2009!

A few days ago we posted this article about a woman kicked out of a swimming pool in France for wearing an Islamic swimsuit and many of you shared your thoughts.

It’s now coming out that she wasn’t wearing some homemade suit, but an actual hijabi swimsuit from Dubai by the company MyCozzie.

Apparently the woman was kicked out because the suit was deemed “unhygienic” on her third visit to the pool!
